Mimi we're not in California anymore

What's a trip to Julian without getting a slice of pie? [Or a whole one.:)]

I finally made it to one of the California historical landmarks, the town of Julian. I had to get a good look at some actual fall foliage to reassure myself it still existed!!! It is one of the cutest little towns I've been to and of course the apple-pumpkin pie was amazing and totally worth the drive through 2 hours of super windy and narrow roads.

It was freeeeezing, everyone was all bundled up in their winter gear. I felt warm and happy inside like I was back in Oregon again. The tourists and townspeople were super friendly and the Christmas lights on each building lit up the short Main Street of the old town. The scenic views and the colors of the trees were so warm and pretty. AHH!! My puppy loooves  leaves and everytime I take her outside she brings back her leaf in her mouth and sets it on the doorstep before we go in. So when she saw the huge leave piles she went crazy and was super excited.

Anyways, although the pie is wonderful there are many other reasons to enjoy Julian! Especially around the month of May when snow is quite possible  :))

It was a gorgeous background for taking photos and the light was beautiful, here are some photos!
